‼️ San Antonio Police Search for Missing Man; Wife Cites Mental Health Concerns
SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for Adam Rodriguez, who was last seen on the city’s northeast side near Mannix Drive, close to the airport. Authorities say Rodriguez disappeared after leaving behind his work vehicle, phone, and other equipment.
Rodriguez’s wife, Ariana Flores-Rodriguez, said her husband dropped off his work truck and other company-issued items early Sunday morning while the business was closed and has not been heard from since.
“He left his work truck and his work phone, his work laptop — anything work-related that the company owed, he left,” Flores-Rodriguez said. “I believe he left with a backpack.”
Flores-Rodriguez said the couple had argued earlier that morning and that Rodriguez left their home around 7 a.m., turning off his phone. When he failed to return, she checked their bank account and noticed an $800 withdrawal.
“I thought, OK, maybe he’s still at the bank,” she said. “It doesn’t show me what time.”
She said she went to the bank and then to her husband’s workplace but was unable to locate him.
Flores-Rodriguez said her husband’s disappearance is especially concerning given his mental health. She explained that the couple’s oldest son died by suicide three years ago and that the holidays have been particularly difficult for their family.
“I know he is disappointed in himself,” she said. “I know he’s upset, and I know he knows I’m upset and I’m hurt. I’m just praying that he didn’t let the enemy get in his head.”
She also noted that one item missing from their home stood out to her — an obituary photo of their son.
“So many people love him. We love him. His kids love him,” Flores-Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez was last seen wearing a camouflage baseball hat, a tan shirt, black pants, and tan Crocs. No one has reported contact with him since Sunday morning. A CLEAR Alert was issued Sunday night, though Texas DPS discontinued the alert as of Tuesday evening.
Flores-Rodriguez is urging anyone who may see her husband to reach out and remind him that he is loved.
“If you see him, hug him and don’t let him go,” she said. “He needs somebody, anybody, to tell him it’s OK and there’s always another way.”
Anyone with information about Adam Rodriguez’s whereabouts is asked to contact San Antonio police at 210-207-7660 or call 911.
